Amazon Beginner Blueprint

·

You’re here because you’re ready to stop overthinking and finally start selling on Amazon. This free guide will walk you through your first major decision: what to sell — and how to do it without wasting money or time.

Ask yourself:

  1. Is it lightweight and easy to ship? (under 2 lbs)
  2. Is it unbranded or generic enough that I can sell it under my own label?
  3. Does it have consistent demand? (Check Amazon reviews, BSR under 100k)
  4. Can I buy it for 3-4x cheaper than it sells for?
  5. Does it solve a simple problem or serve a common routine?

If it checks at least 3/5 of these, it’s worth exploring further.

  1. Home & Kitchen: Think drawer organizers, silicone baking mats, or storage hacks
  2. Beauty Accessories: Sponges, makeup puffs, headbands, simple brushes
  3. Office Supplies: Sticky notes, desktop organizers, cable holders

These categories are popular, don’t require certifications, and are beginner-safe.

✔️ Instead: Research using Amazon's data first (like BSR, review count, etc.)

✔️ Instead: Look for what people are already buying repeatedly

✔️ Instead: Start small. Learn fast. Your first product is your classroom.
